Location

We are located Confier, in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains. Conifer sits alongside Elk Creek and is just a short drive away from Denver. It's a wonderful mountain town filled with charm and hospitality. The town was originally settled during the late 1800's as a freight stop for miners moving into the high country in search of gold. Today, you'll still find the long-standing traditions of a ranching community that opens its door to welcome visitors. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our community, the environment, and our wildlife.

The yoga studio is located in Conifer/Aspen Park, nestled in hillsides of aspen, spruce, fir, and pine. The main road is U.S. Highway 285 and many residents enjoy a quick daily commute to Denver. The studio sign is visible on the south side of U.S. Highway 285. Look for the "Yoga for Wellness" sign standing in an aspen grove, just outside the studio.

From Denver

Take I-70 or I-25 to C470. Take C470 to 285 West. Go 13 miles past the C470-285 interchange. It's a scenic drive along 285 through Pike and Arapaho National Forests on either side of the roadway. The exit ramp is a right-exit ramp located immediately beneath the Aspen Park/Conifer overpass. Take the overpass over the highway. Turn left on the frontage Road and go to the end. Look for the building on the right side. Driving time is approximately 35-45 minutes from within the Denver Metropolitan area.

From Denver International Airport

The nearest airport, Denver International Airport (DEN), is 47 miles away. Take I-70 West to C470 South, at the base of the foothills. Take C470 South about 5 miles. Take 285 West 13 miles, and follow the directions for "From Denver" given above. Transportation service to Conifer is available through RTD skyRide, Dashabout Shuttle, and Golden West Commuter.

From Colorado Springs Airport

Flights are sometimes cheaper through the Colorado Springs Airport. Figure on adding about 30 minutes to your drive compared with Denver International Airport. Take I-25 North to C470 West. Take C470 to 285 West and follow the directions for "From Denver" given above.

East from Fairplay and the Mountains

Going East on 285 from Fairplay take the Aspen Park exit. The exit ramp is a right-exit ramp just slightly past the overpass. Turn left on the frontage road and go to the end. Look for the building on the right side.

AT THE STUDIO

Wear lightweight exercise clothing that you will be able to easily move in and that shows the outline of your body so instructors can ensure that you have proper alignment during the exercises.

Please do not wear fragrances.

We prefer that attendees perform the exercises in bare feet. There is a storage area for your personal effects in the tea room.

Please bring a small blanket or beach towel with you to use as a bolster and during meditation.

Hot tea and water are available. Feel free to bring your own water bottle.
